Turning On Subscription Threads, Is It Wise For Big Boards?

I have it set to Weekly updates right now for everyone and instead of just sending 1 email, it sends a mass amount of emails.

Which is making me wonder, is it wise to have subscription threads turned on for everyone?

It keeps people comming back I suppose. Your site might get listed as spam in their inboxes or by email providers..

Then theres the server load issue. See how well your site is performing with it on and make your decision based on all these factors.

The function does drive more members to your board, but you are at risk of getting blacklisted as a spammer by large email providers. Read the article in my signature to avoid that.
