How to give users under different usergroups an image tag?

For example if the person is a moderator/administrator or belong to a specific usergroup I have created a standard gif/jpeg for him/her to be displayed above the avatar (he can choose to display/not display this image in usercp). How do I set this in vbulletin?

i've seen some forums do this before..
