There was a really buggy incomplete one, but the author pulled it for security issues.

Does anyone know what the security problems were?

There are loads of people using this addon (including myself) ... Should we all uninstall and stop using it?

An update was sent to everyone who had it marked as installed - and basically no, we have no details of the problem.
