code for batch-posting

I'd like to split posts up that have a large # of attachments, into smaller multiple posts, automatically. eg: a person posts a msg with 200 attachments (my forum has an add-on script to accept batch uploads), the forum will make 4 posts to the database with say 50 in each, instead of 1 with 200.

It seems very simple to me (the concept) but I don't know php/SQL so I'm not sure.

Possible? Your thoughts?
