I need to know where are stored the photos that the users upload in their albums.

Go to your admin cp > User Albums > Album Picture Storage Type and it should tell you if they are in the database or the file system. If you click on Move Pictures within the Filesystem, you will see a page with the paths to your files.

I don't know what you mean by "collapse". You could get an error if you have an incorrect path (although I don't think it will let you move them if your path is incorrect).
I always try things out on my test site before I do it on the live site. |

Just make another directory on your server and use .htaccess to only allow your IP to access it. Your vBulletin License Agreement allows you to have a test site.
