Are there any mods that allow one to substitute an image instead of text?
I know that I can use post icons, but it's not as robust as thread icons. |

What exactly do you need done that post icons cannot be used for?

the forums are being consolidated, I'd like to put an inline graphic show which topic, there's no longer an easy post icon sort or filter mod, so the next best is the prefix which already has filter and sorting.
If I can't get a graphic for it, I'm probably just going to drop the column for the prefix because the text is ugly in comparison to a graphic. |

You are talking about Thread Prefixes, right? You can use valid html which I would think would mean you can use an image tag. (Never tried it, but I don't see why not.)

I was thinking that too, but i'm not sure how I'd setup the variable since there would be lots of images >20.
Then I tried to look for the column to remove... couldn't figure it out. LOL Lynn, can you point me in which template and what I'm looking for? found another thread... trying to do like this.. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ghlight=prefix ![]() |

Maybe we are talking about different things, but I'm talking about Thread Prefixes. You would just go to admin cp > thread prefixes > add a new prefix set > create a new set. Then, Thread Prefix Manager > find the name of the set > Add Prefix.
As for what template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source. |

yes, we're talking the same thing. I've set them.
thanks that's helpful for lots of reasons. It doesn't show the template for threadslist of course now I'm looking on a path that is better labeled. <!-- threads list --> .... i'm on the hunt! |
