Default Problem Importing Large Vbulletin Database

Hi all I've problem importing this large database of mine over, it's 175mb. Well this is what happened:

I tried installing the download II modification but I can't seem to save the settings, then I tested it on a test forum it works so I guess it's because there's conflicts with the other mods. Hence I reinstalled my site, all the members and post counts are still intact, the download mod works but I risk losing all the other mods.

I do not want to reinstall every single of those mods again as some of them like the vb experience already have my member statistics, I'm pretty sure there's a way I can retrieve them back. Is there any way?

Well, it was a fortunate thing I did a full entire site backup on the 4th April so what I did was I imported one of the sql files over but it keeps giving me this error:

Quote:
Script timeout passed, if you want to finish import, please resubmit same file and import will resume. However on last run no data has been parsed, this usually means phpMyAdmin won't be able to finish this import unless you increase php time limits.
I always getting timed out so i guess there's only 2 options:

1) Get my host to upload the sql file for me
2) Get shell acess from my host.

But guess what? My host doesn't respond to support tickets at all and he is hardly ever on, even if he is, his status is always busy so he won't respond to you. I wouldn't want this to drag too long as my site current database is reset back to 2 mths ago and within this period, there've been lots of registrations and I don't want to make my active members keep waiting.

Is there any way I can transfer all the other mods and stuff back in other words that large 175mb file?

I love bigdump... but it never works for me lol, I always get errors spit back at me. Generally I run through SSH, however if your host is not responding then that may be an issue.

Dismounted is correct, get a new host. I am sure you can probably save money and receive better service going with one of the big guys.

Here are some things to check when backing up and restoring your database Armageddonz,

-Make sure the backup downloaded IN FULL. You don't know how many times I was attempting to import an incomplete backup.
-Ensure your internet is stable and has a solid connection during the download/upload process.
-Attempt to use different versions of BigDump. I found that sometimes the older ones work better then the betas released.

What size is your database? You have two options you can do, SSH or increase the memory limit for the database upload. Your best bet is to contact your host and be persistent for results.

Good luck!

Do you have SSH access?

Chances are good some of the modifications are using their own seperate tables and not making use of vBulletin tables (especially if they are large extensive modifications). What you can do is get the dump from these tables of your old database and once you reinstall vBExperience, simply import the backup dump, overtop and it should repopulate everything accordingly.

IF you dont have SSH access, or thats beyond your technical knowledge let me know and I can extract the vBExperience tables for you.
