Forum management - Twitter - Facebook - the future?

So I try to follow the tec pundits..

ALL of them are talking ENDLESSLY about Twitter (and the way Facebook has recently changed to be more like Twitter)

OK - Most people now its possible to add links to these sorts of social bookmark sites at the bottom of threads...

But is that enough?

I think we as forum runners should be keeping an eye on these sorts of developments... It might be dangerous to sit back smugly and just watch it all go past..

Can we get a dialog going here..?

For example I think it might be cool to have a twitter & Facebook 'ticker' so people can brows the forums but STILL keep uptodate on their social networks..

I am going to suggest it in the plug in forum..
