How can I enable visitor messaging for all users (including users that have visitor messaging disabled) through the db? There are too many users to go through and activate each one individually through the admincp, and I've searched the through the code, the db, and forums, and can't seem to find where this information is stored.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I don't know the query to do what you want (have you looked over on vb.com for it?), but you can enable it for new registered users in vboptions > user reg options > default reg options

I've been searching all over for a solution to this. We're able to set it up to be activated for new users... it's the older users that we're concerned about. There are just far too many to go through and do them each individually.

Do you have it all turned on for them under Usergroup Manager > find usergroup to Edit > Visitor Messaging? I can't think of why it is off for everyone. Did you look for a query over on vb.com?

...it's not that it's turned off for everyone, just the older users (users that existed before we turned it on for all users). So far, only the new users are coming in with VM enabled automatically. The older ones, we've had to go in and edit them individually via the admincp.

My guess is it's in the field 'options' in the user table. I'm not sure what the query would be though, so really your best bet is to see if they know it over on vb.com
