Hey all,

i have been working on thisgaming site for some time now the style is in its beta stage so that i can still make changes as is the site!

i would like you all to review my site content and style wise!

Your site is timing out. The page tries to load and finally times out.

Erm.. dump that background image rotation. It's one thing to load MASSIVE images that take forever to load, but to use a rotation that doesn't cache them is going to hurt your server immensely.

Your pages take 30 - 45 seconds to load for me and it's all because of the huge backgrounds.

One major piece of advice, cut the image rotation. Heck, shrink the images down quite a bit more, I just checked a few of them and the file size of some is about 1.5 megabytes per image, which is going to take a very long time to load. The site style itself is generally nice, but those default images need changing to match the actual theme, because let's be honest, the default images from vBulletin (and all software) are horrible.

You might also have a few too many forums, and want to cut some down, and to hide private forums like the staff forum (the word 'private' on the home page is personally something I despise).

Nice addons and features though, with the RPG, army system, video directory and what not. Definitely good to see there's more features than the vBulletin default, that's something a lot of boards don't seem to change.

You have also filled up all the forums with posts, so that's good, as it doesn't look so empty as it would otherwise.

Nice to also see added smilies and what not, again, something I seem to rarely see around here.

thanks for your replies i have taken the background off i hadno idea it was taking so long to load from my side it was only taking 4 secondes but then i have a fast download rate!

ill sort out the hidden forums soon

and as for the defualt graphics yeah i know what you mean i hate them too i just havent gotton arround to doing the icons and buttons yet!!

the main thing that i wanted to know was that you all like the base design and colours

Yeah, the base designs and colours are nice, so don't worry about that. And hey, I guessed as much with the images, the only reason anyone uses default images is as a placeholder.

i changed thebackground and uploaded a few new buttons that i have made! hope that makes a differance

Buttons are okay, but the icons on the forum index are what need improving most.
