I have recently moved to a new server and it doesn't seem to be set up like my old one. From my old one, I could run the upgrade script via the www.example.com/forum/install/upgrade.php URL. Now, I get a 404 error when trying to upgrade to the 3.8 version. I also noticed that when I look at the properties for the document root directory (where my forum directory is) it has the URL for the console admin area for my hosting company. I have tried using various file pathways to run the script but I cannot get it to work....just errors. Can someone tell me how I can get the upgrade script to work?
Note: The other day I discovered I couldn't host a picture on my server to link to an affiliate.....its like it doesn't recognize the file pathway. Normally it would be: www.example.com/images/picture.jpg correct? Well, mt pathway seems to be something like: console.hostingpanama.com/cp/index.cgi/webdocs/root,L2hvbWUvd2ViYWRtaW4vdGhlc291cmNlY2hlY2suY29tL 2h0bWw=/path,aW1hZ2Vz/download,Q2hvbGVzdGVyb2wuanBn when I click on properties to my images folder. Note 2: When you try to access that last URL....it makes you try and login to the hosting site. How do I make the files.."public"? |
