Friendly name Url code

You know, I was reading how Prinston said just because your competitor has some feature is never a reason to add it yourself and I totally agree.

I think I have something of value to add here however.

I have had about more code written in the past years than microsoft and all of it for one reason only and that was the existing code was written by coders and where or not they intended it to work out that way to be used by coders or else take 4 years of higher education to learn all the widgets on a program.

Now I can add that I am about the least qualified software and program user that was ever invented, produced or spawn.

In fact I will never forget the first computer I got and spent 28 days deleting 1 million items one at a time from the recycle bin and was grateful to learn about how that you could highlite several and delete 30 at a time. Now I was really feeling stupid a week later when on a three day marathon session with Gateway support and finding you could right click and choose empty the damn thing and be done with in seconds what I spent weeks accomplishing.

Then amazingly enought I soon learned these things called programs was made by humans and not some magical program machine that spit them out. My next though then was dually considered. First if they are made by humans then why in the devil were they so hard to learn to use and where is the owners manual for men that toss the owners manual and assembly instruction page first as after all real men do not need instructions. Second I wondered then if humans made this stuff if I could just locate these special humans called coders then it seemed reasonable that I too could have nice programs made and made that actually made since and was something that all coders before had neglected to consider called user friendly and not coder friendly.

Then to learn that the code its self is really activated with these pretty buttons and widgets and not by having to type out dos commands was really an improvement but why did they not make the buttons ---- what was that word? Oh yes user friendly!

Now if you wonder where this is leading to it is to trying to hope the VBulletin staff will get wind of it and realize that a goodly portion of the world out there are as computer dumb as me and we do not know those top secret things like dos commands or even to shade a word and then to click the URL button and it will make the shaded word a friendly name for your url button thingie.

The sum total of this rant is to tell some one that there are actually a good many folks out there that will not admit to their short comings as I do and yet would love to have a USER FRIENDLY GUI or WYSIWYG editor with enough buttons on it to do all the things we come on a forum to do. We do not wish to learn bb code, as we are old tired and rich or in my case old tired and broke and a servant to the rich.

So if you are reading this VBulletin staff please put us some buttons like a friendly name URL button up there like PHPBBDE had and like any lamer would love.

If you sypathetic coders are reading this and wish to make amens for your sins then you produce one and publish it and I will even pay you a paulpers sum to share it freely.

If my coder reads this then he will know why this feature is to be called the peach blush when he publishes it after he realizes it is a must do and not a to-do!!!!
Now that I wrote all this, I am not sure I am posting it in the right area it seems and if not I am sorry and ask someone to help me.
