Hello Members,
I want to ask few questions about vBulletin License copy. 1) Do i need to enter domain while purchasing ? Because i am going to purchase vBulletin and then i will go for domain 2) Can i change primary or vbulletin licensed domain ? I heard that license copy is for one domain only. So what if i want to change the domain ? 3) And can host it on shared server ? ( APTHost.com ) Thanks --------------- Added [DATE]1229170980[/DATE] at [TIME]1229170980[/TIME] --------------- and just now i saw this notice - Beyond the first year, a nominal fee of $60 (or $40 if purchased within 60 days of the license expiring) is payable to obtain updates for an additional year. What does it mean ?? After paying 180$ we need to pay 60$ again and again to get updates like 3.8 or 3.8 patch 1 etc ?? I don't understand whats the meaning of it ! --------------- Added [DATE]1229186146[/DATE] at [TIME]1229186146[/TIME] --------------- no one ? ![]() |

1) No. But once you have the domain and have vbulletin installed, you do need to enter the domain.
2) The license is for one site only. You cannot have two different installations at two different locations. If you have it up at yoursite.com and later move that same installation to yoursite2.com, then you need to change that location in your members area at vb.com and also remove the installation of vb at yoursite.com 3) You can host it wherever you want. When you purchase an owned license, it allows you to run the software indefinitely. However, if you want to get updates after the first year, then you need to pay the renewal fee.
