I am uprading my site from my dedicated server to another, so I am currently transferring all the data over.
However, on my old server I was running MySQL 5.0 and on the new server I installed 5.2. Can I just backup, and restore the databases. Or will the different MySQL versions make this impossible? I am running Vbulletin 3.7.3 on a Windows machine Thanks |

You can export the database and restore it on the new version.

Note that 5.2 is a beta and 5.1.x is the latest. I would not run a beta on a live server unless u feel comfortable keeping it updated.

And even MySQL 5.1.x isn't considered as stable - I know, Sun does
![]() Maybe keep the 5.0 running for less headache |
