Hey Guys and Girls,
I just have a quick question inwhich I hope someone here can help with - I know that turning html on your vbulletin board can be disasterous as it can open doors to hackers, however I am trying to add tables into a post - being a sport website this is so i can put up current competition ladders etc. I was just wondering if I went into user group permissions etc, and gave just me html access so I can use the html code to add tables etc, would it still open the door for hackers if i was the only one who could do it. Any reply would be greatfully appreciated. |

I have seen a modification which adds "tabling" functionality through BB Code.

Though, the only security issues with users posting HTML is if the user intentionally inserts malicious code. If you're going to be the only one using it, there shouldn't be an issue...but the BB Code is more flexible and the overall safer route. |
