Hello
Can someone suggest a good mod for detecting who , or what IP may be trying to login with my admin account for our forums. Happened a couple times where I try and get into admincp, and it says its failed 5 times. funny thing is, I am typing my password correctly, and have only tried once LOL: apparently, someone is trying to login with my username, and is failing (thank god for that at least ) If I could find out the IP address of the person trying to login, I can at least attempt to ban it Thanks |

Read this - How To Make My Forums More Secure - and make sure your admin cp and mod cp are htaccess protected.
I think there is a mod for 3.0 to get the IP, but I'm not sure it was ported to 3.5 or above. Have you tried searching on "admin*" "all mods" "titles only"? |

found one for log logins but, its not specific to admincp
thanks for the "more secure" link I think most of that's been done, but I'll check it out and I will try looking for more "mods" to log events |
