Default Need a solution to publish news on the site to work along with Vbulletin

I have for many years been adding content o my site manually by coding in dreamweaver. I have been looking for a solution that will help me manage the content of the site, so it's easy to post news pieces, or blogs, as well as make it easy for other people to post.

I have been using Vbulletin for a couple of years, and recently I have installed Vbadvanced. I thought that Vba would be the solution since they call it a CMPS. To be honest, doesn't feel like a real content management system. But I like being able to have a home page with the different modules.

So, here is the question:

How can I integrate a home page such as the one from VBadvanced with a decent News content management system? I first tried just using the news feature that comes with vbulletin, but it seems very basic, and I am not familiar with ways to make it better, create templates, etc..

Then I thought about purchasing the Vbulleting Blog tool. But I am not sure will fulfill my needs.

I started considering now Word Press.

I would very much like toget your opinion on this.

In case you want to see my site it's http://www.snowbrasil.com . It's in portuguese but you can get the idea.

I really appreciate your input.

Thanks so much

I can't answer/help with this because I don't do anything like this on my site. If you are thinking about wordpress, and wondering if it will do what you want, you may want to have "Opinions from wordpress users" for a title to get their attention. This is a very specific question that not just anyone can voice an opinion about.

Cutenews does not offer vbulletin integration. Have you created a vb integration hex legend?
VBA CMPS is not optimal for a news page, but there are several modifications you can do to improve it. See the mod section of www.vbadvanced.com

So yeah. A good news system for vbulletin is missing.

I installed vba CMPS. But it's not really a content management system in my opinion. A real CMS would let people create articles, add images, pick home page image, alignment, etc.. then user could submit the article for editor to aprove. I mean, there is usually a how system. If you look at old CMS such as mambo, phpnuke, they all have these kind of features.

I was just hoping to find one that integrated well with vbulletin.

I am actually considering getting the vbulletin blogs license and use that for news/articles.

Thanks

I wholeheartedly agree that a more advanced news system would be awesome. What you can do with vba CMPS is(with some hacking):
let people create articles, add images, alignment, and have a certain usergroup select which articles are suited as news for your front page.
