GARS is really hard to beat as it is a very beautiful and robust script, but
if you want something similar you might look into vba Dynamics

The major difference is the GARS turns your existing forums into articles,
making it possible to search both articles and forums at the same time.
Dynamics uses its own tables, and you cannot search your articles and
forums at the same time. Dynamics, however, has the advantage that
it can be used for at lot of other things also.
