I'am installing a vBull forum (v 3.6xxx) on my already existing website. For the vBull install do I need to create a seprate mysql database for the vBull or can I use the existing database that I already use for my site?
You'd need a separate database. There is probably a way to use your existing database by writing in the required tables to it, but it would be needlessly complicated.
definately easier to create a seperate database. put forums folder inside your url pointed folder. /public_html is the usual. that way you can access it with yoururl.com/forums
