Best Way to Backup Before Installing Mods?
Recently had quite a scare and decided that i need a better way of ensuring that i can restore my forum if anything goes wrong when i try to install a new mod.
Apart from backing up your DB, what else can i do to ensure that i can quickly restore my forum if a mod goes wrong? Assuming that the mod totally screwed everything up.
What i have been doing is to copy each template file that i modify and save it in a text file. But the latest incident taught me that it is not enough. What happened was that the mod was faulty and refused to uninstall.
So could the experts share some pointers? Tks.
