invite system, shaddy sellers and a request for help

ok, recently there was some joker selling a script which was basically a contact inviter. a lot of people threw money at him and suddenly he closed up shop and disappeared. now he appears to be back and is promising a "new and improved" script that he has made on his own, as opposed to the ripped off code he was selling before.

anyway, i am lucky i got what i paid for at all and that was only after i filed a paypal dispute for non-delivery of services. (lucky i insisted on paypal. if i had used Western express like he wanted i doubt i would have seen anything from him at all)

i now have the script, and i am temped to do a couple of things. namely post it here for all to have for free. would that be allowed? he is no longer selling it and seems to have discontinued support.

however in the meanwhile I am hesitant to use it myself and would like someone to take a look at the code of the script. i can picture it having a backdoor that would allow peoples usernames and password being stolen and contact lists harvested. the entire operation this guy was running was shady.

if you would like the script to look over for safety issues PM me. i guess once you have the script, if you want to keep it and use it for yourself that's up to you

Unless you hold the copyright to the code, you are not allowed to post it on vB.org. This restriction would also mean that you can not have it checked here.

Also we do not allow discussions on commercial scripts, closing thread.
