I've been runing around in circles a couple of hours now and I've started wondering what is head and what is tale
![]() I've been looking for some good mods, and every now and then I come across some really good ones, mostly when using the search function. So I was wondering if there is somewhere you hide all the good stuff? ![]() What I'm really asking is if there is a way to find the most downloaded, best rated, etc.? And while I'm at it I might as well ask for few things I'd like: A right menu with links to last posts? Note I saw this one, but after a few attempts I gave up adding it: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=175181 - not everyone is a coder or has experience you know ![]() I'd like something that shows online users as well. And yes I do apprciate the effort people put in to making these things. -frustrated n00b :erm: |

You can sort by installs.

I'd be careful just installing mods because they're popular. Either you need a mod or you don't. Just hang around a while and you'll get a feel for what's working and what isn't. But I suppose I've been guilty of sorting on 'installs' once or twice on the really slow days.
![]() Side columns may not be the best way to do what you want. For one thing, once you have them there you have to put something in them. Ditto portals like vbadvanced. Online users are already shown by default. |

But, sorting by installs does give you a better selection ("better" meaning, the most common needs, some of the more commonplace tools that aren't inherent to vB, etc) of mods to browse though, without neccessarily installing everything at the top of the list.

Most installs doesn't necessarily mean a better hack either. You have to consider the complexity of working with the code, the options available, and the support issue also.

All these questions are already answered in the forums. Fire up your search. And just browse a while.
