There are a few different methods, using search filters, thread prefixes, etc... that can be implemented to achieve the false perception of 1 thread living in multiple forums, but is there a specific setting within vBulletin to allow this?
Example: I administrate an automotive forum, which has sub-forums categorized by vehicle model. Each vehicle sub-forum has multiple child forums, one of which will always be a classifieds section. I would also like to have a single, site-wide classified section, which "pulls" in vehicle specific classified threads. Additionally, I would like for vehicle specific forums to pull relevant information from the site-wide classifieds. This is a standard cross dB relationship, however there does not appear to be a standard feature in vBulletin 3.7 which allows for this. |

The basic design of vb is that a thread can only be in one forum at a time.

By basic, are you noting that this is a "foundation" characteristic to vb, or is there an "advanced" design of vb that would accommodate this relationship?

There is a mod called Global Threads that kinda does what you want. You might be able to modify it to do better what you want.

Thanks, Lynne. I'll look into that.
