Restricting Prefix use to certain usergroups?

We've recently upgraded to 3.7.0 and are still playing with the new features.

Is there any way or mod available to restrict the use of certain prefixes to say Moderators and above? For our board where only mods/admin can start threads, its easy enough to restrict, but on our general usage boards it would be nice to have 1 "official" set and 1"general" set to be able to differentiate between important for site and general prefixed threads.

Is this in the realm of codable things? Does a mod like this exist?
