I've got two RSS feeds, one in Chinese and one in Arabic, which end up all ????'s in forum thread using the RSS feed manager in vBulletin.
Is there some code I can place in the template for each foreign language RSS feed that will recreate the wording as it appears originally from feed site? The original Chinese news feed url is: http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/chinese/simp/news/rss.xml and the original Arabic news feed url is: http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/arabic/news/rss.xml Both feeds work/look fine, except when used in vbulletin RSS feed manager to feed a forum thread. Looking in the vBulletin manual didn't provide a solution so I was hoping someone here had found a solution to foreign language feeds. Manual and Feed Manager both mention "content:encoded" but I don't know if that can be changed in the feed Template to tell forum what language to use. Additional Question re RSS feeds. Does anyone know how to automatically delete old feeds from a thread so that after x hours or x days the old RSS feeds are removed and only feeds that are x hours or x days old remain in a forum thread? |
