Default I haven't been able to install 1 Mod yet. Please clarify this one.

I noticed that all the readmes are created for experienced coders or something because I CLEARLY do not understand them. I have tried installing 7 mods on all different types of boards and none of them seem to ever work out.

If you want to install it for me, PM me or email me at onixz100 [at] gmail [dot] com

I am trying to install iTrade on my vB. I folllow readme and it NEVER works. I do it word for word.

This is what it says:

New Installation Instructions:

Please follow the following steps IN ORDER, otherwise the install will not work properly and I will not even bother to reply to any of your help requests.

1. Upload ALL the files in the "Upload" directory, including the sub-directories!
2. Install the iTrader Product via the Plugin Manager. The XML file is located in the "Product XML" folder.
3. Edit all the usergroup permissions (all groups default to no access). The iTrader permissions will show up at the bottom of the list.
4. Edit your iTrader options in the vBulletin Options menu. They will be listed at the bottom of the page in their own group.
5. Edit your templates, more info can be found in the Template Info.html file.
6. That's it, your iTrader system should be up and running!

-- Problems --

I upload all the files, that works.
2) I try to install the iTrader product via Plugin Manager. But, plugin manager says that it's a product so I use product management. Then, I finally get it to upload then it asks me for like:

Title of the Product, PHP I want to execute. What is all that? What I guessed is that I just copied ans pasted all the writing inside of my itrade.php file and pasted it in the box. I have no clue what it does.

3) It tells me to edit all user permissions then has these brackets (all users default no access). Does that mean make it so no one has access, or do they by default have no access? I see nothing about iTrader in my ACP at all. Nothing, I try the find tool, no words even come up about iTrade. I don't know how to disable usergroups completely. There is no option that just says: "No access", maybe there is but I haven't found it?

Step 4, I can't even get to. Anyone want to help me :'(. I'm so angry.

Step 2 uses the wrong terms, it should say Import via the Product Manager (Manage Products > Add/Import Product). It also sounds like you are filling in the Add Product Section - don't - you are importing one, not adding one. Just 'Browse' to the XML file on your PC and click "Import".

You won't be able to do 3 & 4 until the product is installed. The template changes are also pointless until you have it installed.

If you are having problems with a modification, the best place to post is in the modification thread since they know the product best.

Yes, I fully agree with you! I already made that on the modification thread, but no one seems to have some help for me...!

And because in here someone had the same problem as me, I just guessed it would help...

Do you know the solution for this problem?

Thanks!

I believe once you install the plugin correctly, you should see the option on your vbulletin options menu.

Well, the plugin was correctly installed...!

The problem is getting through step 3 of the installation...

I just can't see no usergroup permissions related to iTrader... Really sad...

Are you sure your going to the right place?

ACP --> Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager --> Edit Usergroup
(GO)

Should be there for each and every usergroup. If not, I have no idea since I don't use it.

Regards Jason

Ok! I've done just as you said...!

I did not added a product, instead I IMPORTED one inserting the .XML file in the required field.

Instalation went just OK! So step 2 is over...!

Now, off to STEP 3...!

OOooops! How can I go to step 3...?!? There is just no such "usergroup permissions" related to iTrader, so I could even think of "all groups default to no access"...

Please, help...! :erm:
