Hi, [FIXED, READ BOTTOM OF THREAD]
Can someone please help me out with this. I went to admincp->vbulletin options->Site Name/Url/Contact details and I set URL of your forum: http://www.mysite.com/forum URL of your homepage: http://www.mysite.com/forum in my http://www.mysite.com/index.php file I have: <? Header( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" ); Header( "Location: http://www.mysite.com/forum" ); ?> so that anyone accessing my url without the /forum gets sent to /forum Yet, even in admin in top right corner the Forum Home Page link links to http://mysite.com/forum... and if I access http://www.mysite.com I get redirected to http://mysite.com/forum This will hurt my seo ranking as there will be duplicates of links with and without www... Where can I fix this so that everything works from www.mysite.com with the www.? I tried adding a mod rewrite rule to redirect non www. requests to www... but that just goes into an infinite loop... it seems there is something inside vbulletin which keeps sending my requests to the non www. version Please help? --------------- Added [DATE]1204497719[/DATE] at [TIME]1204497719[/TIME] --------------- Actually, I just checked and my whole admin works from http://mysite.com/forum/admincp... without the www. too --------------- Added [DATE]1204499035[/DATE] at [TIME]1204499035[/TIME] --------------- Figured it out I needed to uncomment: #RewriteBase /forum/ in the .htaccess file |
