Hi
I own a G-Rated site and I keep getting members signing up with email address at sexpusik.com and other sites like that and post threads advertising things, well that are not G-rated at all. I have installed NoSpam! the mod for the text but they are all addresses and real people. Is there anything I can do to stop these coming? They are also all using different IP so it isnt possible to do that. Thanks VS |

Try the Spam List here:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=134856 Make sure you remove any domain names that your users might be using as you may have problems with new users registering.. Good Luck, Val. |

All my new registered users go into the Registered Users group and are moderated. Then I have a promotion system that after their successful first post or x days, they get moved to the Registered Users - No Moderation group. This has worked very well to keep spam off our site.

This might work as well, but I don't know if it works with 3.7.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=131568 Basically just prevent new users from posting links until a decent threshold where your mods can catch the account and ban them. |
