Exploring the Possibility of Merging Boards

Hello. Please forgive me if this specific topic has already been addressed- I looked, but did not see it.

In the near future, we (www.therogueforums.com) might seek to integrate a phpBB site into ours. By that, I mean I wish to take their posts/threads/members and enter them into our database. Is that even possible? Would it create any issues? How would I proceed, if possible?

Yes you can use ImpEx to import and merge the boards.

Thank you! I have been using vB for over a year, and am still trying to learn stuff about it.

Still keep in mind that the usual things apply with importing, such as passwords cannot be imported due to the different encryption methods used.

Is there a good guide I should read on this before I attempt it?

The manual has a section on ImpEx. So reading that would be a good idea. Also, do a test import on a test board first, so you can get out any kinks in the process.
