Need emails from vBulletin posts (every time)

We have purchased vBulletin to use for our trade association. The reason we went to vBulletin is that our old majordomo email reflector was getting overrun by spammers. We have been very happy with almost everything about vBulletin, but we have one serious issue which may result in our having to move to some other bulletin software if we cannot get the issue resolved.

We need vBulletin to email the contents of a posting to everyone who has subscribed to that forum each time there is a new posting to any thread in the forum, regardless of whether they have recently logged into the forum or not. We need them to receive emails for all threads, including newly created threads.

We have installed "Instant new thread notification", which I found at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=141280, but this has some strange characteristics and is not proving to be reliable. It sends out an email when a new thread is created, but a) it does not send out the text of the thread, and b) if someone replies to the thread and you have not visited the forum since the thread was created, it appears that it will not send out a new notification.

It might be better if we had used an email system, but we very much enjoy all of the features in vBulletin. This has become a critical problem for our association, so any help you can offer would be very much appreciated.
