I am a very green newbie to vbulletin. I started with phpbb and as soon as I launched it, had 13 new registered users posting pornogrophy links on the forum!!! I deleted everything, immediately, but was horrified that I had given this site out to family and friends and that this crap ended up on it!!! I just purchased vbulletin and just installed it, I haven't launched it yet and am really concerned about this happening again! I haven't learned all the ins & outs of vbulletin yet, any experienced users tips would be appreciated... how do I prevent this from happening when I am not on the site 24/7???? By the way, my site is for money saving tips, online shopping bargains, ways to save money within homes & families. It is a clean, family friendly site, just so you know this is not in anyway meant to attract that crap~ help!

Most of the time, these are posted by bots not real people. I used to have these problems on a daily basis and then decided to install this modification, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=135094

It has worked a charm and i have had no spam ever since...
