I have RSS feed syndication enabled for my forum. I was wondering if there was a way to artifically delay the new threads getting onto the RSS feed.
I am looking for this feature to prevent getting spam published on the RSS feed. Our community typically cleans up the spam within few hours of it getting posted, but by then RSS feed and all the indexes who capture our RSS feed are already populated by the spam message. Even after we physically delete the message, the indexes still continue to point to the location where spam was posted. Let me know if above makes sense, and if there is a solution. Thank you! |

You can set the RSS feed to be checked every 10 minutes to 12 hours. It's a setting called "Check Feed Every..." in RSS manager in ACP.

Sorry, I think I was not very clear in my message. I am looking to delay the threads getting onto my out-going RSS feed from the forum. I *think* your suggestion is for incoming RSS feeds.
Any suggestions? Thanks |

any clues?
This functionality will be important for anyone who exposes their forums postings on RSS feeds, and doesn't want external RSS aggregators to continue to point to spam posts (which get removed over time). thanks |
