Problem with animated smilies

I have had animated smilies on my forum in the past without fail, but recently I have decided to change a few and am having sporadic problems with them being complete. Some load fine while others only load a portion of the animation. For instance half way through an animation it loops back to the beginning never completing the loop, or some times it just looks all garbled. Any ideas why? I have even tried using the anismilies found here on this forum and get the same results

I should add that I have others that are working just fine, but those were existing animated smilies. I have tried different browsers and have had other members of my forum check them out on their end as well, so it does not appear to be a browser issue or an issue on my end.

Some of the smiles I am trying to upload are cut off at the waist, some just give me a red X in a box, and as I said in my other post some work half way through and then loop to the begining never finishing through. It appears to be just the new ones I am trying to add that are the ones giving me a problem.

how are you adding them? Or saving them to start with?

Do the gifs display fine in IE if you open the original file on your computer?

Sounds like your gifs are being mangled in your handling of the files.. either saving them, editing them, or when you upload them
