Creating sub-categories

When adding a New Forum through the AdminCP, you're given the option of selecting a "Parent Forum"; use this to create sub-forums.

For example would this General vBulletin Discussions section be a sub-category of the Community Discussions Forum?

That's correct. Community Discussion is the Parent Forum of General vBulletin Discussions.

I am in my admin creating new forums. When I try and create a new forum it is saying it is off of an existing forum I already created. I want this forum to be completely separate from the other forum. Please help.
