I have searched these forums, and found 2 different search hacks, which I hacked further, and now have a quick search box in my navbar (Example). What I'm looking for is exactly what this forum has, a small search box, with a drop down, so they can choose which forums to search, then an additional drop down menu for advanced search.
Also I'd like the input boxes and search button to be smaller, again like it is on this site. Can anyone help me with any aspect of what I'm looking for? My current code is this: Code:
<!-- Search on Navbar --> <td class="vbmenu_control"> <form action="search.php" method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="do" value="process" /> <input type="hidden" name="showposts" value="0" /> <input type="hidden" name="quicksearch" value="1" /> <input type="hidden" name="s" value="$session[sessionhash]" /> <input type="text" name="query" size="15" onfocus="this.value=''" value="Quick Search..." /> </form> EDIT I have the advanced option drop down now by changing the code. What I'm looking for now is to make the input box smaller (shorter so it doesn't throw off my navbar height) And also to add a white drop down box where they can select the forum. EDIT AGAIN I have the box small enough now. I just need the forum drop down choices, I'll work on it tonight it tomorrow and if I get it, I'll probably release it as a template modification |
