I have tried to get $userinfo working for my hack https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=139332 but the only thing that seems to work is $user, did I do something wrong? Miss a variable? or is $user the proper variable in this case?

Which one you need to use will depend on the script you are writing code for.
