Is there any way to do this? In other words, any mods / ways I haven't thought about to regulate which usergroups have access to certain profile fields?
Any help would be appreciated! |

I've been trying to figure it out for a while. Basically what I want to do is have a single-selection menu with a number of options that increase in number as their status within the usergroup hierarchy increases. I figured if I could find away to control the permissions for each usergroup to use its own specific profile fields, I could create multiple instances of the same field (but with increasing options to choose from) and assign each to a specific usergroup.
I'm not picky with alternatives, though. The whole purpose is simply to display a line of text on part of their posts (in case anyone's wondering what the point is, it's just a themed thing), and give them access to an increased number of options basically as their post count goes up. I was thinking to try and do it soley with usergroups, and let them move in and out of different primary usergroups (given they meet the requirements for each one), but I thought that would be a bit much of a hassle for something that's for simply of aesthetic value. |
