What code to do Collapse categories by default and to what template need to change, any one had done do that?

this is thread that almost done do it, but its not clearly information about that

It's done by a template edit, but I'd need to double check the code.

BEfore I do so though, are you sure that you want to do this as any users with JavaScript disabled will be unable to open your categories, and some really old browsers don't even have JavaScript capabilities nor do most PDA's and WAP devices, so some users would be unable to browse your site.
