I'm not a coder and have been contemplating this hack for about a week. I placed a service request here so you can read the back story:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=125281 Is it possible to simplify this hack by allowing me to set a forum so that the user group BBcode setting overrides the BBcode setting in a forum. This could be a yes/no option in the forum settings. For example: Forum A BBcode = No Forum A Usergroup Overide = Yes Usergroup A BBcode = No Usergroup B BBCode = Yes This would allow Usergroup B to post BBcode but not A. Forum B BBcode = Yes Forum B Usergroup Override = No Usergroup A BB Code = No Usergroup B BB code =Yes This would allow Usergroup A and B to post BBcode. This would also allow the advanced BBcode hack to work as well. Is this possible and is this easier to implement, than trying to create a hack that allows you to configure both usergroups and forums? |
