Referring to How To Display Multiple Selection Profile Fields...
I have used 'multiple selection' in one of my profile fields - 'interests and hobbies'. I would like to run some stats (using Excel) to get a percentage breakdown of peoples interest and hobbies. I understand that the number written to the mySQL database is a number that represents the total of all the 'integer to the power of 2'. The problem I am having is how do I break the number back down? There's probably a straightforward answer to this as vBulletin has to 'break the number back down' in order to display the relevant bits of data in the memberinfo template. It's not the retreiving of the data that I have a problem with... it's how to 'use binary operators ' to decode the data. I've had a look at member.php but I can't figure out how vB decodes the data. Any help is most appreciated. |
