Custom Administrator Permissions Modification Help

Hi all,

I have recently started on a modification which intends to allow custom administrator permissions in relation to Forum Manager.

I have started and somewhat completed the bitsfield and cpnav files.

What I require help with is conditionals and functionality, particularly in regards to the creation of a product which I have already added some phrases to.

If you are able to help in any way then it would be much appreciated.

What this modification that I am attempting to create intends to do is allow users to be responsible for a forum category/categories. I wish for a super administrator to be able to define what exactly these users can do in regards to the use of the Forum Manager tool:

e.g. Add new forums in their category/categories)
Edit forums in their category/categories)
Delete forums in their category/categories


The way that I have started to go about this is to create usergroup permissions to define users as category managers and what exactly they can do (e.g. add/edit/delete) and hope to define what forums they have responsibility for through a user profilefield (with the intention of fieldX being part of a conditional).

Any help or guidance would be appreciated
