Default Modification to allow in AdminCP to upload a file to "x" forum dir? (Or FTP access)

Hey all, I am wondering if this can even be done. Some sites/networks may have a harder time reaching a FTP admin. This can cause stress sometimes to admins who have full control and work on maintaining the forums.

3.0.x is hard enough to manage via admin cp alone, Alot of times its more hand coding then anything else.. otherwise its really a FTP based forum version.

3.5.4 is better, with the release of the hook/plugin system the need for ftp kinda slowed down some.

However the idea is this:
1: Maybe somehow in AdminCP have a FTP style client from within, or the ability to upload 1 by 1 "x" file from your PC to (path.to) on the forum. (Say you wanted to add a new admincp plugin that requires you to upload a php file to /forums/admincp/ You could access this option in AdminCP, Click the import from PC button and then write in the desination within the forum root structure that it should import the file to.)

This could help in many ways.. since if the FTP able user or network is not allowed to give out PWs to FTP.. or they are always busy, causing delays between new features or functions that the dedicated admins who are authorized to run the forums and install things etc.. They could have a method to upload files 1 by 1 to the forums root dir and subfolders within.
I would think this "should" be able to code, since after all you can upload "Smilies" and tell it where to store them in the /images/ folder. So this would just be one step more, allowing admins to upload a file to any valid spot on the forum dirs.

Or if its simple.

2: Maybe just a simple storage folder that a admin can use to upload something to be on the forums dir. Say /forums/storage/ Incase your someone like me who sometimes NEEDS to put a new gfx file or something that the forum has to load within its own root dir.. one could have a spot to upload to. If that makes any sense.

Anyways thoughts? Could something like this be done? Maybe even work on 3.0.9 vB? Just wondering. Thanks. =) (Just we all hate long delays.. if they even get done at all since our ftp guy is always so busy... sigh.... Im sure others could find this useful too. I dont think it would open a can of worms either.. since if you have it in AdminCP.. should only be ppl who can be trusted anyways. If nothing else, could put that they must have "Maintance" admin permissions too, which should prove they are authorized to use this feature idea. =))
