Default Sub-Forum Question!

Okay, I'm going to use vBulletin.com as an example. If you load up the main page of the forum you will see this:

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/

You will notice that the first forum on that page says 'vBulletin Announcements and Discussions'. Now, you will also notice that withing that forum there is a child-forum (vBulletin Announcements) with a sub-forum within it (Jelsoft eBulletin Archives)

If you click on the forum title (vBulletin Announcements and Discussions) it will take you to a page where only that forum is displayed. Immediately you may also notice that the sub-forum (Jelsoft eBulletin Archives) is listed in its own row between vBulletin Announcements and
Announcements Discussions.

My question is that I would like the sub-forum to be displayed in the same way as on the homepage we saw first regardless of the forum titles being clicked. Is this possible?

Yes, in vBOptions > Forum Listing Display Options > Depth Of SubForums

Change this number until you get the effect that you require. Usually a 1 does the job nicely, but you may wish to go with two or higher depending on how deep you wish to go on the forumhome

Strange, doesnt seem to be working. It still lists sub-forums in their own row regardless of what number i set it to.

Basically i dont want the sub-forums to be listed in their own row when the forum title is clicked on. I would like that forum to have the same display of the forumhome.

Sorry, I misunderstood you the first time.

Increase the forumdisplay and forumhome figures. You will also need to create new templates for forumhome_forumbit_level3_post and forumhome_forumbit_level3_nopost which can be replicas of the level2 versions.

Cool, its worked. I set the Forum Home to 2 and Forum Display 1. Everything seems to be okay.

Would i still need to make any replica's? What are they required for?

no, you only need to make replicas if you incrase the numbers to 3 or more.
