A way to show "you've replied to this thread"

Hey all, I removed the column in my forum that usually shows if you've posted or replied to a thread.

E.g http://www.writersbeat.com/writers-caf-f5.html

Now, my members want a way to show that tells you if you've replied to a thread or not.

Could someone explain to me how I can re-do this function, but instead of in a column like next to the thread?
