Default Making the links on the "background" a different colour...?

I'm trying to make the links on the background of my pages a different colour than the links in my tables... is this possible?

For example, my forum has a dark background, but light tables, so black text looks great on my tables, but my navigation type links (ie, Log Out Administrator) are nearly impossible to see up against the dark background, of course if I change the colour to something bright, my links navigation links in the light coloured tables (ie, the forum titles) looks horrid.

I'm probably just a newb, but i've been trying this for a couple hours now, so if you can help, I'd appreciate it!

you can change the colors for links in various parts of the site via the main CSS (styles & templates > style manager > drop down list > main CSS) or if that doesn't work, then you can add color html to the required links via the templates.

Looks like I'm going to have to get down and dirty with html and the templates, thanks for the quick response peterska2!

Just to be clear here

http://www.thecflforum.com/index.php

^^^^ On that sort of style, theres no way to make, for example, the copyright text and time a gold colour -- without changing the colour of the primary text of all the rest of the tables, apart from finding those instances in the templates and changing the font colour in there?

That would seem to be an odd setup, because any sort of style with a dark background and light tables is likely going to be using dark text as their primary, and run into the same problem I'm having.

the time color is configurable via the main CSS. That just leaves the copyright text to hard code then (hint: it's in the footer template )

Yes, but if I change the time color for the footer in the Main CSS, it also changes it for the time in the rest of my tables, and gold on white timestamps would be a pretty nasty combination. Theres also a bunch of navigation links within different pages to deal with (previous thread | next thread), the "you are being redirected box" thing, the "Log out user" link, all the different links in the profile.

I'll probably just suck it up and try to track them down and change the HTML, but I'm surprised it isn't a little easier to deal with than that, a dark background with light text combined with a light foreground and dark text cant be that uncommon a style, can it? Maybe its just a limitation of CSS....

At any rate, I appreciate your help, thanks again peter!

in that case, you want the SHOWTHREAD, standard_redirect, pm_showpm, and forumhome as well as the footer

that should cover them all.

if not let me know.

The links within the options within the user control panel (subscribed threads), (private messaging system) (this help page), the private messaging system (list of messages), the private messaging system (empty folder, empty folder, inbox, sent items,), the list of subscribed threads in folder (View all Subscribed Threads | Edit Folders), buddy/ignore list (click here), quicklinks getnew error message (here.)

( ) <--- denotes link showing up black on dark background, that can't be made the gold colour via the main CSS because it also applies the lighter colour to the links on the interior, text part of the forum leaving me with gold-on-white text where i want black on white.
