I like to think that I am fairly self sufficent, however this is the first time I am going to really go this far into VB. I've made mini plugins for my own purposes but I want to create a full on product so that my upgrades go smooth and to be able to share with others. "Hacking" the code up just does me no good at the time of the next upgrade and I have to try to remember everything I did.
This is what the product is: Top 10 list for different categories. This is in regards to track times for cars in different classes This is the outline of what I need to do: 2 tables (I think) added - table 1 = class id, name, description/notes - table 2 = id, class id, userid, time, notes admin control panel page added - create classes/edit classes (name/notes) - add users to each class (edit/notes) [would really love to use the new 'autocomplete' dropdown] product page - display file with breif description of the page - display each class with the description - automaticly take the top 10 of each class and display So here comes the question. Could anyone help me with the steps I would need to take to do this the right way? Just to take full advantage of the VBB structure and to do it right for the reasons mentioned above. ttt, renamed thread to better suite subject. |
