I want to have the ability for posts to be automatically created each week, and then at the end for them to be closed.
I have like 4-5 that I would want. That would save me a lot of time. However, I have no clue how to do it. Any suggestions? Do I need a plugin? Thanks! |

What event sets off the automatic creation? A time? If you want it at XX time per week, youll need a scheduled task.
You might not need plugins, but you will need to take a look at the Thread, Post and ThreadPost datamanagers. There should be tutorials (at least for examples on how to send private messages) in the how-to section. |

Thanks for the reply....
Here is what I want. I have a photography site, with a few members, and each week on Sunday's I create threads within a forum for people that put up pictures in the topics. For example: Weekly Bird Weekly Marco Weekly Pet Weekly kids Weekly Landscapes Every week we get posts into those topics... It helps keep everything organized... So instead of doing it by hand, I would like it to post: this weeks dates - 3/5/06-3/11/06 Weekly Bird Then some auto text like: Show off your bird pictures this week! And then next week we would get - 3/12/06-.... But I don't understand PHP enough to figure out how to do that by hand. Any suggestions here? |

It would be easier to manually create them.
