Need Examples of What do you use for Rewards/Groups etc..?

Hey Guys,
I just finished merging my 3 PNphpBB forums into one VB bulletin board.

One of the things I want to do is set up Cash/Shop mods.

I want to reward users who post a lot with features on the site, I also want to have users who Pay to subscribe get a little icon next to thier name like forum supporter etc.
I am not sure how to set this up in groups or the subscriptions. I was hoping some of you already have this set up and can give me some examples of groups with permissions etc..and what you did to reward your users.

Avatar Upgrade, Signature, icon next to the name, special forum access? and did you assign a seperate group for each of these? did you assign a moderator group and give them special features as well?

I am looking for ideas of what to do to enhance the forum and reward people for supporting either through subscriptions or forum participation.
