I'm getting this error in e-mails from my Vbulletin message board. Does anyone know what could cause this error?

Database error in vBulletin :

Yeah, its means your database lost connection....Thats server side issue.

Do you have access the MySQL's config?
May want to check maximum connection lifetime....

I have a dedicated server so yes I have access to that, but I'm new to Mysql, so not sure how to access it. Can you tell me how?
