thread games
I've been wanting to start some thread games type threads, but have came to a blank of what ones to start.
I've noticed some of the members homepages have fun active thread games,, just wondering if we can get a list of some good thread games started ? this will help me a lot for starting these threads on my sites, and it surly will help others that have never started a thread game thread.  so please share with us, some of the games you've started on your forums.. thank you -Loco.m

On a site I used to co-admin we had a "Name that Tune" thread, and in another we had a game kind of like "I Spy." Someone would leave a clue and then let people guess on it for a day. If someone got it right they started a new game, otherwise another clue would be given.
(These were both from a Harry Potter site - The "I Spy" one was being done with characters from the books, which made it pretty interesting.)

Its postwhoring at it's best, but a good way to eliminate worthless threads from popping up. Meaningless Chat Convo's People are voyeurs at heart and a lot of these you get some good laughs from. Sentances about other members Another thread that baffles as far as popularity - they make comments about other members... Anyway - I know they arent all games, but they get posts and really, that's what it is all about.

We do ABC's of..... Christmas Kids toys ect. Starting with A a member names something beginning with A next B and so on.
For Christmas we have Name Christsmas songs Word Chain Each word needs to start with the last letter of the previous word. eg. word, door, rest..... Then there Guess which member. Post a clue or hint about a member and the person who guess correctly starts a new Guess who. My members love playing fun useless games LOL heres the link tothe forum Games Forum

another is the photo hunt eg. you start it off with a request to see something like a desk then someone posts a picture of their desk with their username written (not photoshoped) then the person who posts the picture can make a request for something else

i've started 1 of those word games,,
and we have abc of actions, they've been a hit so far thx for the links too, if my mind goes blank I'll check out sites out and borrow your game ideas :P

We have word association, countdown (in hex numbers from #FFFF currently as we got down from 1000 to 0 rather quickly), and a spelling game (someone picks a word or phrase then corresponding posts start with the first letter and add another each time till you get to the end of the word or phrase. whoever completes the word or phrase then picks the new one). We have others but these are the most popular ones.

I'm trying to promote postwhoring, but to me that ones sorts just like the counting games..lol 1,2,3,4,5, something the very short post, i don't like.. thx for the info tho. the more the merrier
